My co-workers and I stopped in here from out of town work. Lovely small town hole in the wall. Seemed more of an In-crowd kinda place, but live music, right on the downtown strip, cooked to perfection food, and full bar. Has a charming outside seating area to soak up the sun or the night life... Get the sweet potatoes fries with marshmallow dipping sauce.

Went to Southern Spirits for a rehearsal dinner during my stay in North Carolina. The private event space was absolutely massive! Everything was taken care of by the staff and those who coordinated the event. The parents of the groom ordered me chicken tenders from downstairs and they were the crunches and juiciest chicken tenders I ever had. Take notes, Zaxby's and Raising Canes! I went downstairs towards the end of the night and tried the fried pickles. This is the first time I have not gotten food poisoning from fried pickles like I have back in Florida. Even when I ate all my leftovers yesterday, the fried pickles stayed crispy and crunchy no matter what even after I put them in the fridge at the BNB I was staying at. I wish that Southern Spirits was in my state because I want to try a lot more from the menu. This was my favorite restaurant in North Carolina hands down! The service, the atmosphere and food were all amazing!
